Today in math, our class used the Metric System to solve math problems with decimals and standard numbers. Here is an example of how the Metric System works. Say you have the number 7.54cm, what you do is you have to figure out how many meter's are in 7.54cm. Then you see if the number is biggest to smallest, or smallest to biggest. Then you see how far it is until you get to 1 meter. Say it's 1/100 centi to get to 1 meter so, you multiply 7.54x100 or 10 to the second. Then you can use a place value chart to get the answer. If you multiply, you move the numbers in the decimal to the left. If you divide, you move the numbers in the decimals to the right.Then you will get your answer.
