November has been a great month so far for our fifth graders! We went on a field trip to the Earth and Space Science Lab where we visited the Planetarium and did several small group activities using iPads and microscopes! We just finished up learning about volume in math class and started our next unit where we will revisit decimals and fractions. In writing, we switched from narrative pieces to informational writing. In reading, we are connecting to writing by reading informational texts and identifying text structures to help use comprehend texts. Social studies has been focused on learning about the beginning of America and Early Explorers.
