Math Independent Work !! Today in math we converted metric units. We used KHDUDCM which is biggest to smallest in measurements so it is Milli Centi Deci Unit Deca Hecto Kilo the acronym is King Henry Doesn't Usally Drink Chocolate Milk.It was a very tough task but we persevered!
poetry in classIn class we are learning poetry,and different types of figurative language. Today in class we read poetry and then focused on finding out what was happening in each stanza.
Today we were trying to figure out if a girls brother was telling the truth about if you put a paper in a cup and put in it in water if will not get wet. It was because the air was not letting the water get through the cup because it had two much air in it not letting it get through.
We are learning how to multiply whole numbers times fractions. For example. 8 x 1/3 is read as 8 groups of 1/3 and can be represented using any of these models.
In science we dissected owl pellets which are what a owl could not digest in its stomach.Also, we found bones and we figered out what the owl ate.
Today we used our information invention for writing and we made a introduction for them that would make the reader want to read it more and more just like a hook. We had to make sure it had these things, I wrote an introduction that helps the reader get interested in and understand the subject. Also we had to include this, I let the reader know the subtopics that I'll be developing later.
Today in math we filled things with blocks to represent volume and we got in groups to fill up thingsToday for science in ms.pritts class we made our own food chain using animal and plants ms.pritts had us cut out and pick animal and nature we wanted and we had to use twelve
also there were things like a coyote,a fox,the sun,a jackrabbit,a field mouse,a grasshopper,a mosquito,a rattle snake,a howk,a frog,and a mule dear. On Tuesday and Monday for reading we tried to find the answer to how do scientist rescue penguins after an oil spill and we looked at two articles about it and found eight answers to the question.
