In math, we are learning how to add, subtract, divide, and multiply decimals. In Art, we are working on cityscapes, in this project we get creative by constructing and drawing our cities. And in Reading we are reading non-fiction texts to learn how to make literal questions. Dear Parents,
This week in school, we worked in groups to research Maryland History. The research topics were Fort McHenry, C+O Canal and B+O Railroad, Battle of Antietam, and Great Baltimore Fire. We read books and went online to find facts about our topic. In our classroom we have a data wall that holds us accountable for how we are doing in Math and Reading. Miss Pritts 5th Grade Class Today we are learning how to find the purpose to a research source. We also are figuring out the powers of ten. The powers of ten are about how 10 to the power of 2 or 10 to the power of 3 etc, are actually 100 or 1000 etc.
